When I started my blog (almost a year ago… can’t even believe that), I knew community and local love were going to be very important to me! I believe this has been transparent in my work and with all my passion projects here. I have found out about so many amazing opportunities going on in our community from attending numerous networking events.
I love the passion, the drive that ever business women has behind their brand. Their drive makes me stand behind them on any venture they are on. When I heard through Sequel Events about this fundraiser happening for Matthew’s house here in Abbotsford, I knew I wanted to help them make a difference for families within our community.
First of all, I had no idea that this was offered in our community for families. I feel you always hear about the bigger foundations over an hour drive away from us. As a mother, I could never imagine having to commute so far to care for my child, to have extended family members drive that distance while seeking the care needed.
I love that Matthew’s House is here in the Fraser valley, that they have created a homelike environment to assist families with children who have complex needs. Making care excess-able close to home, close to their families, close to their extended family like most in the valley.
I by no means know what these families are going through, the pure exhaustion they must have being that constant care aid. Love that Matthew’s House provide parents with the support they need to be at their best for their kids.
Galentine’s Day – Starry Night Fundraiser for Matthew’s House is a night to get dressed up, support amazingly strong women in our community, while having the opportunity to give back to a fantastic cause. There are amazing local businesses who have donated to the silent auction.
On February 13th 2018 hosted by Marketplace Women & Sequel Events at the Reach Gallery Museum, buy your tickets here at www.galentines.ca .
